The origin of Serrapeptase
This natural product was first time originally isolated in early 70`s in the scientific study of a Silkworm. As a source of enzyme Serrapeptase there was identified enterobacterium Serracia E15, the friendly bacteria living in Silkworm`s organism. Silkworm use this enzyme primarily in the process of digestion of solid mulberry leaves, which it is feed on, and also for quickly dissolving very hard cocoon in which the larva changes into an adult.
For the needs of people and animals both, Serrapeptase is now commercially produced by growing Serracia E15 and isolating the enzyme Serrapeptase by fermentation. The result of this process is dehydrated white to light powder.
The potencial of Serrapeptase
Serrapeptase`s antiinflammatory activity is 500 times higher than the activity of other proteolytic enzymes. It is a functioning alternative to salicylate, ibuprofen and stronger NSAID. In contrast to these drugs, Serrapeptase is a naturally occurring proteolytic enzyme agent without the inhibitory effects of prostaglandins, and no gastrointestinal side effects are allowed. Clinical studies for over 40 years have shown that Serrapeptase dissolves blood clots and reduces the risk of blood clot – thrombus, inhibit swelling, and prevents fluids in tissues.
